Elisabeth Hess, born in Lower Saxony, lives and works in Berlin. In 2024, she completed her degree in “Fine Arts: Stage and Costume Design” at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin. During her studies, she developed her own unique style of painting. Her artistic work moves between realism and a conscious escape into playfulness—inspired by a deep passion for the romantic, melancholic, and naive. In 2023, she was invited to study painting for six months at the University of the Arts London on a scholarship.

In addition to her work as a painter, Elisabeth Hess is also active as a stage and costume designer and as an assistant. She has contributed to numerous opera productions, both nationally and internationally.

Elisabeth Hess works on international projects as a 2D animation supervisor and style/character designer.
